Parcel Carrying Handles - Item 23532

A wonderful find in the flea markets of Paris, these handles hark back to a simpler time. 

Made from cardboard with copper wire running through the centre that then has hooks on either side, these handles were often given given to customers as a complimentary tool for carrying their parcels. 

The merchant would wrap packages with paper, tie string around the parcel and the customer would carry their parcel home with this handle - the copper wire hooked through the parcels string. 

These ones have the original “advertising logo” printed on the cardboard.
